About the Photographer:

Lindsay Steele was born in Longview, Texas, and raised in nearby White Oak. She graduated from White Oak High School and went on to earn a degree in Music from East Texas Baptist University. She currently resides in Longview, where she owns a photography studio.

Lindsay has always loved photography. As a teen, she made collages of all the pictures she loved from magazines and hung them all over her walls. When she was in college, she was always the one with the camera- taking photos of literally everything she and her friends were doing. When Lindsay’s dad bought her a DSLR camera, photography became a way of healing from her parents’ divorce. She was able to work through her grief by submerging herself in the world of photography.

Inspired by Annie Leibovitz, Tim Walker, and the talented photographers whose portraits fill the pages of her Vogue coffee table book collection, Lindsay has spent years developing her quirky, whimsical style and fashioning colorful stories from her ethereal styled photo shoots.

Each portrait in Dream in Color combines Lindsay's infectious enthusiasm with her unique style, expert eye, and affinity for vibrant pops of color. Lindsay hopes that each person who encounters the photographs in her carefully curated collection will fan the resulting spark of inspiration, and dream of colorful avenues to share their own stories.
